The Right to Vote

Not to be taken for granted. Its been 100 years since the ratification of the 19th Amendment allowing women the right to vote in the U.S. The amendment was first proposed in 1878 and it took 42 years for passage and ratification by the States.

In this centennial year, Franciscan Park co-op members will soon be voting on adopting bylaws setting forth the framework for how the co-op will operate. The new bylaws expands the number of board members to 7. There will be 3 newly created vacancies to fill in the upcoming election.

Please don’t take these important voting rights for granted. Complete and return your membership agreement today! You’ll be glad you did.
